Nutrition Department

The Nutrition Department of Shanghai International Medical Center (SIMC) is an independent clinical department of SIMC. It is equipped with special facilities, equipment and venues such as human composition analyzers, hand grips, and nutrition clinics. It is responsible for various outpatient and inpatient nutrition diagnosis and treatment services as well as hospital meals. Work tasks such as recipe preparation, hospital meal management, and popular science publicity and education. The director of the Nutrition Department is a Master of Public Health, chief physician, and registered dietitian majoring in nutrition and food hygiene. He has been engaged in nutrition and food hygiene related work and scientific research for 30 years. He has rich professional theoretical knowledge and experience in nutrition diagnosis and treatment. He is good at nutrition prevention and treatment of obesity, polycystic, hypertension, diabetes, nephropathy, gout, tumors and other chronic diseases and maternal related nutritional diseases, as well as perioperative nutrition intervention, design of enteral and parenteral nutrition support plans, and formulation of various recipes. In clinical practice, a large number of cases of successful implementation of nutritional interventions have been accumulated, helping many patients improve their health status.
