Introduction

Professor Li Zhong is the nuclear inventor of LCEC (Ultra-Low Temperature Sealed Frozen Biopsy) technology and a pioneer in the field of rehabilitation surgery in China. He is currently the director of the Thoracic Surgery Department of Yangzhi Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University and the founder of Li Zhong Medical Group. He has been deeply involved in the clinical and scientific research fields of thoracic surgery and oncology for more than 30 years. He has used "pinhole minimally invasive" technology to subvert the traditional diagnosis and treatment model and help elderly patients with severe lung diseases achieve safe and accurate diagnosis and treatment. Resume and academic background of nuclear power: ·Graduation and education: Graduated from a military doctor family, and was the director of the thoracic surgery department of the former Navy 412 Hospital. He was influenced by his family to study medicine; graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and successively studied thoracic surgery and thoracic surgery in Shanghai Thoracic Hospital, China Hospital, etc., with profound clinical foundation and multidisciplinary integrated diagnosis and treatment capabilities. ·Practice position: Currently serving as the director of the General Surgery Department and the Central Committee of Lung Rehabilitation at the Affiliated Hospital of Tongji University, he concurrently serves as the director of the Central Committee of Ultra-low-temperature Frozen Biopsy Technology Training of China Medical Education Association and the Master's Research Supervisor. He leads the national training of Ultra-low-temperature Frozen Biopsy Technology, training nearly 100 professional doctors across the country, and promotes the popularization of technology to grassroots hospitals. After five years of research, Professor Li Zhong led the team to complete the LCEC technology core design and submit an invention patent application in 2019. In 2024, he was authorized by China invention patent (patent number ZL201910162165.1). In 2026, he completed LCEC biopsy of one active pulmonary tuberculosis lesion around the world, filling the international space for biopsy of dangerous infected lesions.
