In 2001, he went to the Department of Neurosurgery at Mainz University in Germany and studied keyhole technology and neuroendoscope (brain endoscopy) technology under Professor Perneczky, a world-renowned expert in microneurosurgery and advocate of keyhole technology. After returning to China, he carried out keyhole surgery and various neuroendoscopic surgeries such as third ventriculostomy, intraventricular cyst fenestration, and skull base chordoma resection, ranking among the top in China.
